Alice laughed: "There's no use trying," she said; "one can't believe impossible things." "I daresay you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was younger, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."

Especially that trill on "pace..." at the end. Gets 'em every time...
If anyone/anything is going to help a politician do the right thing, then it's Simon Boccanegra...
Hello there
Good to see some more good writing about and opera on the net, and very humorous too. (I think we could do with a bit more light heartedness in our lives)
Im the Assistant Company Manager for Wexford Festival Opera ‘09 and have been asked to write a blog about the season, I think its a good idea to try and demystify the process. I would be most grateful if you could leave a link for my page, for readers on your page. (I could do the same on my blog page?)
Regardless, drop me a line, id love to hear from you.
I know this probably isn’t the best place to contact you, and not a great place to post this, sorry about that, (my email is being a pain today, but ill drop a line into your email when mine is working again)
All the best,
Justin Murphy
