He is not only elegant, but he makes textures undestandable and under his conducting the Met's Orchestra sounds at its best at the moment. There is a reason why the orchestra's musician love him. Boring? I found hies reading of Ring exciting, well paced and singer-friendly. After the heavy-mesy-Levine-time it is a relief to have this conductor here.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8851616.post-13945186432765559972012-04-27T17:06:47.119-04:002012-04-27T17:06:47.119-04:00Fantastically written and highly informative revie...Fantastically written and highly informative review, thank you so much, especially for nailing Lepage. I could not believe the arrogance of what he said to Dan Wakin.

Did you see Stefan Margita in Europe? He was just about flawless as Loge in SF and truly stole the show. Oh, wait, he was in From the House of the Dead at the Met. Of course, you might have also seen him in Europe. I hope he'll be back in SF at some point.Lisa Hirschhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14014924958428072675noreply@blogger.com
